Sentry Software expands its Storage Monitoring portfolio with new products to monitor Hitachi and IBM Disk Arrays. Sentry Storage Monitoring Solution now covers all the major SAN manufacturers: Brocade, Cisco, EMC, HP, Hitachi, IBM, and NetApp.
IBM DS Monitoring
IBM DS KMs for PATROL offer monitoring and reporting capabilities integrated to the PATROL console for creating a common management platform for administering all networked storage in your environment. This enables you to easily meet all your storage service-level requirements while improving operational efficiency.
By monitoring all storage assets within a centralized management console, you can respond quickly to performance problems, easily determine capacity requirements, and effectively plan for network expansions.

Hitachi Disk Arrays Monitoring
Hitachi Disk Arrays KM for PATROL and its agent-less counterpart, BMC Performance Manager Express for Hitachi Disk Array, enable administrators to monitor their Hitachi disk arrays directly from the PATROL console (or BMC Portal) avoiding the need to use a separate monitoring solution.
The KM collects and brings critical performance data and useful metrics into your BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management environment. Among many other performance metrics, the product identifies performance bottlenecks (disk arrays, logical disks, controllers, etc.), manages and helps rationalize disk space consumption, measures caching efficiency, etc.
