Schedule Hardware Inventory Reports

Hardware Sentry enables you to schedule automated generation of hardware inventory reports for the localhost and/or any or all remote hosts monitored through it.

To schedule a hardware inventory report, right-click the Hardware icon > KM Commands > Reporting > Schedule Hardware Inventory.

1.	The Hardware Inventory Scheduling wizard appears:

2.	The next panel asks you to select the hosts and to schedule the report:

The host selection fields display the locally managed system as well as all remote devices/systems monitored remotely through the local host.

•	Generate a Hardware Inventory Report for the following host(s): Select the host(s).

•	Schedule the generation of the Hardware Inventory: Never / Every hour / Every day at a specific time / Every week at a specific time and day / Every month at a specific time and day

Click Next.

3.	Depending on the schedule selected, the following panels will appear:

Generating a report with an Every hour schedule does not require any settings. The wizard displays the panel for macros and destination folder (see step 5.).

•	Every day at a specific time: Indicate the time at which the report is to be generated and click Next.

•	Every week at a specific time and day: Specify the time and the days you want the report generated and click Next.

•	Every month at a specific time and day: Indicate the day of each month and the time at which the report is to be generated and click Next.

4.	Indicate where the report is to be saved and specify its filename:

•	Save the Hardware Inventory in the following folder: Enter the file path

•

Use the following template for the Hardware Inventory filename: Indicate the path and folder where the report is to be saved and its filename. Available macros are listed under Macros of the Reference section. Using the given macros will enable you to have reports that are properly named with the hostname and time the reports are generated.

5.	Hardware Inventory confirmation:

Click Finish and the report will be automatically generated as per the specifications indicated.
