SharePoint KM for PATROL monitors Windows Services and triggers an alarm when a service is not running properly. The application monitors the following Windows services:

| • | Windows SharePoint Service Search |
| • | Windows SharePoint Service Timer |
| • | Windows SharePoint Services Tracing |
| • | World Wide Web Publishing |
| • | Windows SharePoint Services VSS Writer |
 | Among the services listed below, only discovered services are monitored. |
Each service is represented by an instance of the SEN_WSS_SERVICES class with a single Status parameter (0 = Running; 1 = Start, Stop, Pause or Resume Pending; 2 = Stopped or paused).
You can easily modify the alert threshold for each of the above-mentioned services by clicking the service for which you wish to modify the alert threshold > KM Commands > Modify Alert Threshold.
