Connectors for monitoring servers running ESX.

Should you install this patch?
This patch should be installed on all systems monitoring ESX servers to improve system monitoring.

What does it fix?
Adds support for local monitoring of ESX4 servers.
Adds memory size.
Reverts to an "overall memory status" if individual memory modules status is not available.
Checks Power Supply Availability for status information if main health state is "unknown".

How to install the patch?
Copy the following files to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/MS_HW_hdf directory on the managed server:
  • MS_HW_VMwareESXi.hdf
  • MS_HW_VMwareESX4i.hdf
Re-initialize Hardware Sentry for the patch to take effect. Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
