Should you install this patch?
Apply this patch if you are using version 8.4 of the HP Insight Manager Agent for Windows (The Linux HP Agent is not affected).
We also recommend installing this patch for any server (Windows or Linux) running version 8.25 or later of the HP Insight Manager Agent.
What does it fix?
Memory modules were not properly monitored due to an issue with version 8.4 of the HP Insight Management Agent for Windows.
For all versions, from 8.25 or later, of the HP Insight Management Agent, the monitoring of the memory modules has been improved to provide more information about each module as well as a more detailed status.
How to install the patch?
Copy the following files to the %PATROL_HOME%\lib\MS_HW_hdf directory on the managed server:
- MS_HW_CpqHeResMem2.hdf
- MS_HW_CpqSiMem.hdf
- MS_HW_CpMgServNT.hdf
Re-initialize Hardware Sentry for the patch to take effect. Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
