Should you install this patch?
Apply this patch if you are monitoring Brocade SAN Switches

What does it fix?
Replaces Fibre Alliance Connector. Collects information from Brocade Specific MIBs instead of the industry standard Fibre Alliance MIB.

This allows better port identification, adds remote host information. Metrics collected are the same as Fibre Alliance connector.

How to install the patch?
Copy the following files to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/MS_HW_hdf directory on the managed server:
  • MS_HW_BrocadeSwitch.hdf
Run the Connection, Credentials and Connectors wizard. When selecting connectors for monitoring, deselect "Fibre Alliance" and Select "Brocade Switch".
The KM will reinitialize after running the wizard.
