Whats New

SENEMC-1984: EMC VMAX3 Storage Systems Monitoring: EMC Disk Arrays KM now fully supports the monitoring of EMC VMAX3 storage systems. EMC VMAX3 storage resource pools health and performance are monitored through the new SEN_EMC_STORAGERESOURCEPOOL application class that reports on storage capacity and performance. A report can also be generated and configured from the array (KM Command > Reporting > Storage Resource Pools Activity...) or from the Storage Resource Pool instance (KM Command > Storage Resource Pools Activity...).
SENEMC-1996: The MetaEntityType infobox parameter has been added on the SEN_EMC_ARRAY application class to report on the system model (Storage.EMC-VMAX or Storage.EMC-VNX). This parameter is updated upon each discovery cycle.

Changes and Improvements

SENEMC-2004: In order to optimize the discovery and data collect duration, EMC Disk Arrays KM no longer discovers EMC VMAX/Symmetrix Remote Arrays by default. However, a configuration variable (discoverRemoteArrays) is now available to enable this feature as needed.
SENEMC-1978 : EMC Disk Arrays KM requires Java 1.8.00 or higher to perform properly.
SENEMC-1978: Changes have been implemented to enhance the performance and behavior of the Collection Hub:
A new configuration variable (collectionHubAdditionalArgs) is now available to add arguments to the command line when launching the Java Collection Hub via the Java settings KM Command.
EMC Disk Arrays KM now uses its exclusive Collection Hub instance and files are no longer shared with other KMs to prevent compatibilities issues.
The Collection Hub debug files provide more detailed information about its operations.
SENEMC-1978: The overall performance of remote Windows commands analysis has been significantly improved.
SENEMC-1984: The Speed parameter (SEN_EMC_FCPORT) has been modified to leverage the data provided by EMC Unisphere. The parameter now reports on the port negotiated speed to provide a significantly more accurate metric.

Fixed Issues

SENEMC-1978: The Collection Hub now supports a larger amount of simultaneous requests timeouts.
SENEMC-1984: The list of volumes accessible through an FC port is now properly collected and reported by the Volumes parameter of the SEN_EMC_FCPORT application class.
SENEMC-2034: Each host mapped to a LUN is now properly reported by the LUNs Mapping Table.
