 If you select the Send a basic SNMP trap action: 
  
Editing Alert Actions — Alert Action: Send a Basic SNMP Trap 
Enter the following: 
| • | IP address or Hostname of the SNMP trap destination  |  
 | • | SNMP port and community string |  
 | • | Text that will be sent in the SNMP trap |  
  Upon a failure, IBM DS3000, DS4000, DS5000 Series KM for PATROL will send the trap that is defined in the PATROL MIB (Trap number 11, Enterprise ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.1031.1.1.2, the text is stored in the 1.3.6.1.4.1.1031.1.1.2.1 OID). You can use macros that will be replaced at runtime. The Alert Actions Macro Variables section states the list of available macros.
