Connector files for VMware ESX5i

Should you install this patch?

Apply this patch if you wish to monitor servers running VMware ESX5i.

What does it fix?

This patch adds support for VMware ESX5i servers

How to install the patch?

  1. Copy the following files to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/MS_HW_hdf directory on the managed server:
    • MS_HW_VMwareESX4i.hdf
    • MS_HW_VMwareESXi.hdf
    • MS_HW_VMwareESXiDisksIPMI.hdf
    • MS_HW_VMwareESXiDisksStorage.hdf
  2. Reinitialize the KM ([right-click] on the main Hardware Sentry icon > [KM Commands] > [Reinitialize KM...])
  3. Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
