Connectors for Windows Servers with HBAs

Should you install this patch?

Install this patch if you need to monitor servers equipped with HBA Cards.

What does it fix?

Prevents multiple monitoring instances of the same HBA card by selecting and using only the more suitable connector when the KM is in automatic detection mode.

How to install the patch?

  1. Copy the following files to %RSM_HOME%\RSMxx\SEN_HW\hdf_27xx\ on each RSM:
    • MS_HW_WBEMGenHBA.hdf
    • MS_HW_EmulexHbacmd.hdf
    • MS_HW_QlogicSCLI.hdf
  2. Delete the following database file for each server with this issue: '%RSM_HOME%\RSMxx\server\rsm\tmp\deploy\sen_hw_database-[hostname].dat' or restart the RSM to perform a new discovery for all servers.
