Should you install this patch?

Install this patch if you are using VFS KM v2.1.00 on PATROL Agent v9.0.20i or on Linux platforms.

What does it fix?

  • A compatibility issue prevented the KM to operate when the PATROL Agent v9.0.20i (or later versions) was run with the PATROL Config Cache support.
  • The KM failed to recognize the VxFS library path on Linux systems which prevented it from operating properly (the KM stayed in setup mode).

How to install the patch?

  1. Unzip the following files to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/psl or %PATROL_HOME%\lib\psl directory on the server where the PATROL Agent is installed:
    • P1487.zip
  2. Restart the PATROL Agent for the patch to take effect.
Nothing needs to be installed on the Console systems.
