Connector for EMC PowerPath (powermt).

Should you install this patch?

Install this patch if the AvailablePathCount parameter is set to zero and triggered an alarm when monitoring LUNs.

What does it fix?

The connector has been improved to fix an issue where the AvailablePathCount parameter (MS_HW_LUN) was set to zero and triggered an alarm.

How to install the patch?

Note: For Windows systems, the PATROL Agent must be running locally on the monitored system (no remote monitoring).

  1. Copy the following file to the %PATROL_HOME%\lib\MS_HW_hdf or the $PATROL_HOME/lib/MS_HW_hdf directory on the server where the PATROL Agent runs:
    • MS_HW_EMCPowerPath.hdf
    Note: The powermt utility must be provided in the path of the PATROL user.
  2. Re-initialize Hardware Sentry for the patch to take effect. Nothing needs to be installed on console systems.
