Release Notes for v3.1.00

Home  Previous  Next

Important Information

The BMC patch Patch 1 for BMC PATROL Agent 11.0.00 must be installed to use any version of EMC NetWorker Monitoring. Version 11.0.00i of the PATROL Agent on Windows prevents EMC NetWorker Monitoring from operating properly. While apparently successfully loaded ,EMC NetWorker Monitoring fails to start and can neither monitor the local system or the remote systems. An error message is displayed stating that no hardware connectors are loaded and that the product needs to be re-installed.

What's New

The multi-node mode failover supports the new remote monitoring architecture.

Changes and Improvements

The monitoring of any additional log file can now be configured in TrueSight. The log filter can also be customized to indicate when Warnings and Alarms are triggered.
The overall performance of EMC NetWorker Monitoring has been significantly improved.

Fixed Issues

The debug settings are now correctly interpreted and applied when set from the TrueSight (CMA) console.
The Debug Mode failed to differentiate Server and Storage Node debug options.
The Exit status of each command run by the monitoring solution on a remote Windows system is now properly verified and reported.
The Remote Temp Path configured in the NSR System Discovery Overrides (Optional) section in CMA was not correctly applied on remote UNIX/Linux nodes.
