What's New

Physical Disks Monitoring: Two new attributes have been added to HP 3PAR Storage Monitoring: Chunklet Count and Chunklet Size.
In order to optimize the monitoring on large environment, users can now customize the discovery and the collect timeouts directly from the user interface. See the Configuring Monitor Settings section for detailed information.

Changes and Improvements

The debug file now stores additional critical information, warning and error messages when the debug mode is activated.
The password algorithm encryption is now handled by the PATROL Agent.

Fixed Issues

Before each re-initialization of the solution, HP 3PAR Storage Monitoring backs-up the latest PATROL Agent configuration and save the data in a timestamped configuration file. The number of configuration backup files can rapidly use a large amount of space on a server. To avoid this situation, HP 3PAR Storage Monitoring now only saves the latest configuration backup under the %PATROL_HOME%\config directory.
Pools capacity attributes: The Pools' capacity value is now computed upon the discovery and collect processes to ensure a better accuracy of the values reported for the following attributes:
 Available Capacity
 Available Capacity Percentage
 Consumed Capacity Percentage
 Subscribed Capacity
 Subscribed Capacity Percentage
Pools Monitoring: The computation of the Subscribed Capacity attribute has been improved to report more accurately on the actual subscribed value.
FC Ports, Ethernet Ports and SAS Ports Monitoring: The Received Response Time and Sent Response Time attributes now accurately reflect the actual collected values.
The computation method used to report on byte rates and response times for the following monitor types has been improved to report more accurately on the attributes actual values:
HP 3PAR Storage System: Received Byte Rate, Sent Byte Rate and Transfer Byte Rate, Received Response Time, Sent Response Time, Response Time
HP 3PAR Node: Read Byte Rate, Write Byte Rate, Transfer Byte Rate and Read Response Time, Write Response Time and Response Time
HP 3PAR Physical Disk: Read Byte Rate, Write Byte Rate, Transfer Byte Rate and Read Response Time, Write Response Time and Response Time
HP 3PAR Volume: Read Byte Rate, Write Byte Rate, Transfer Byte Rate and Read Response Time, Write Response Time and Response Time
