What's New
• | Hitachi Device Manager v.8 is now supported. Please note that the monitoring history will be lost when upgrading to version 8. |
• | Volumes Monitoring: it is now possible to disable the monitoring of all the volumes of a system to limit the number of instances created and therefore reduce the system resource consumption. |
• | The Port Count parameter has been added to the Disk Array application class to report on the number of ports available on the disk array. |
• | The FQDN parameter has been added to the Disk Array application class to provide the fully qualified domain name of the storage system, as exposed to BPPM. |
Changes and Improvements
• | New computation for capacity parameters: |
o | the Available Capacity parameter now considers the space available for the Storage Pool creation. |
o | the Subscribed Capacity parameter of the Disk Array application class now only considers the volumes exposed to hosts. |
• | The "Array" and "FC Port" application classes were respectively renamed "Disk Array" and "Fiber Port". |
Fixed Issues
• | The Transfer Bytes parameter for Disk Array, Controller, Fiber Port, Storage Pool, and Volume application classes were not properly displayed in the accumulated parameter-type reports. |
• | For some performance parameters, a missing value was interpreted as zero instead of No Data. |
• | The serial number was displayed twice for the VSP disk arrays. |
• | The subscribed capacity of the VSP parity groups was not properly calculated. |
• | The host visible capacity parameter was wrongly computed on the following thinly provisioned volumes: AMS, HUS, or USP. |
• | Performance parameters were missing due to a collect issue. These parameters are now properly collected. |
• | A display issue (blank spaces and carriage returns) occurred in Portal's string values. |
• | When a volume owns two controllers, the Hosts parameter would list duplicated hosts. |
• | The Time Since Last Activity parameter of the Volume application class now always displays a value. |
• | The Thin Provisioning Pool's size now equals its capacity. |
• | The Bandwidth Utilization parameter of the Fiber Port application class is now properly calculated. |
