Changes and Improvements

SSL encryption: BMC Performance Manager Express Monitoring Studio now supports SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption for SQL queries on a Microsoft SQL Server.

Fixed Issues

LOG File Monitoring and Analysis: Numeric values were not properly extracted if the option "Parse on RSM" was selected.
Remote Command Execution and Analysis (UNIX/Linux):  The specified commands could not be executed on a remote UNIX/Linux system using the SSH protocol. This resulted in the return output parameter to display "Algorithm negotiation fails".
Studio - SQL Query (Microsoft SQL Server): The instance name was ignored if the dynamic port was not set.
Monitoring MS SQL Server 2000:
The error that occurred when monitoring MS SQL Server 2000 has been fixed with the implementation of the SSL encryption option.
The Performance Manager now handles properly the user-defined Instance Name when performing SQL queries. When left blank, the product will use the default instance name.
