Because extended levels are not imported by default by the ETL in v10.3, some metrics might be missing. To ensure all metrics are imported, you will have to set the collection level to [4] Extended.
What's New
• | Support for Data ONTAP v8.3 (cluster-mode). |
• | The ST_DISK and ST_DISK_TYPE metrics were added to the STOGLB dataset to respectively expose the total number of used disks and the type of disks used for the pool. |
• | A new metric ST_VOLUME_IO_RATE was added to the STOGLB dataset to expose the total number of operations per second performed on the volume. |
Changes and Improvements
• | Shares (NetApp Volumes) Monitoring configuration has been improved to be more user-friendly. A single option is now available to enable/disable shares monitoring and shares import. |
• | Volumes (NetApp LUNs) Monitoring configuration has been improved to be more user-friendly. A single option is now available to enable/disable volumes monitoring and volumes import. |
• | The following relations have been changed in v7.0.00: |
|
|
SA_CONTAINS_LUN
|
SA_CONTAINS_VOLUME
|
FILER_CONTAINS_VFILER
|

• | More detailed information is now provided for Ethernet ports through the BYPORT_TYPE metric of the STOSSW dataset. |
Fixed Issues
• | Connector's loading has been improved to prevent failures when local store files are corrupted. |
• | Duplicate entities could appear in the Hierarchy Rules page. |
• | The value for the metrics ST_CIFS_RATE, ST_FC_RATE, ST_ISCSI_RATE, ST_NFS_RATE, and ST_SAN_RATE was not correct. |
• | An exception could occur: |
▪ | when collecting disk information in 7-mode and caused the collect to fail. |
▪ | when discovering disks in cluster mode. |
▪ | when the value for an aggregate was null. |
Known Issue
• | When using BMC TrueSight CO 10.3, SSLv3 is disabled by default, which prevents NetApp Data ONTAP ETL for BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization to connect to Data ONTAP. To use the NetApp Data ONTAP ETL with BMC TrueSight CO 10.3, you will have to first enable TLS. For more information, please refer to the NetApp documentation. |
