This connector discovers the enclosure and fiber-channel ports of SAN switches as well as the various environment sensors (temperatures, fans, power supplies, etc.).

This connector is not available for the local host (it is applicable to remote hosts only).

Connector Activation Criteria

The Cisco MDS9000 Series (SSH) connector will be automatically activated, and its status will be reported as OK if all of the criteria below are met:

  • SSH is enabled on the monitored host
  • The monitored host must send #
  • The connector sends exit[Return]logout[Return]quit[Return]
  • The captured output contains Cisco (regex)
