STOCONT Dataset

Changes and Improvements
| • | The root volume (usually vol0) is now displayed in the hierarchy under a vFiler. |
| • | The hierarchy displayed under the Workspace tab was improved to represent the relationships between a volume and the share, between a share and its aggregate, and between a volume and its aggregate. For that purpose, the relations VOLUME_CONTAINS_LUN, AGGREGATE_CONTAINS_VOLUME, and SP_CONTAINS_LUN have been created. |
| • | Collection cycle has been improved and is now determined by the discovery interval. |
Fixed Issues
| • | The Manage ONTAP library v5.1 required for operating NetApp Data ONTAP ETL for BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization was conflicting with an older version stored in the scheduler/lib/ directory. |
| • | To prevent missing samples, the saver now starts loading samples once the collect has finished writing to the local store. |
| • | Volumes were only visible under All systems and business drivers > Unassigned in the Workspace navigation tree. They are now attached to the NetApp Filer. |
| • | Volumes and shares were loaded in the BMC TrueSight CO database even though the Import Entities option was disabled. |
| • | The ST_VOLUME metric was not properly computed. |
| • | The bandwidth consumed in the storage system (ST_SYSTEM_BANDWIDTH_UTIL metric) was not properly calculated. The computation method has therefore been changed and is now the ratio of the total number of bytes transferred to the FC ports to the system bandwidth. |
| • | Ethernet ports were missing when using Data ONTAP 8.2.1 in cluster mode. |
Known Issues
| • | The value of the ST_SYSTEM_BANDWIDTH metric is not correct due to an invalid configuration unit (Information is stored in BIT/s but considered as Bytes/s). |
