About the Hardware Connector Library

As a core component of Hardware Sentry KM for PATROL, the Hardware Connector Library consists of several hardware connectors (*.hdf files) that describe how to discover hardware components and detect failures. With 250+ connectors, the Hardware Connector Library allows the monitoring of almost any server (physical, virtual, and blade servers) and external device (disk arrays, fiber switches, and tape libraries) available on the market.

The Hardware Connector Library is regularly updated to support new platforms, add improvements, and fix issues. It is either released along with Hardware Sentry KM for PATROL or as a separate package. To benefit from the latest updates, Sentry Software recommends installing the latest version of the Hardware Connector Library on top of the base version of Hardware Sentry KM.
