Should you install this patch?

Download this patch if you are using Veritas NetBackup KM v3.2.00 to monitor nodes which are defined with their Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDN) in the CMA policy.

What does it fix?

The KM failed to detect the system type and load commands when the FQDN was used in the CMA policy to specify the nodes to be monitored. This patch fixes the problem.

How to install the patch?

  1. Uncompress the attached file
  2. Copy the library file NBU_server_lib.lib to the %PATROL_HOME%\lib\psl (Windows) or $PATROL_HOME/lib/psl (UNIX/Linux) directory on the PATROL Agent system, where Veritas NetBackup KM v3.2.00 is installed, while logged in as default PATROL Agent user
  3. Restart the PATROL Agent
  4. Select the "Reload Commands" menu for any host configured using an FQDN to start the monitoring.
