Should you install this patch?
Install this patch if you want to configure a startup delay at the start of the KM.
What does it fix?
This patch adds the possibility to set a configuration variable to make the KM wait for a number of seconds before creating the Blackout instances and starting the applicable blackouts.
By setting the below configuration variable, you can ensure that all the KMs running on the agent are properly loaded before starting the blackouts.
Path | Description | Default Value |
---|---|---|
/SENTRY/BLACKOUT1/startupDelay | Allows the administrator to specify the number of seconds after which Blackout KM creates the main and blackout instances, thus delaying the start of the blackouts. Only applies to the first discovery, when the PATROL agent is started. | Not set (zero) |
How to install the patch?
- Copy the following file to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/psl or %PATROL_HOME%\lib\psl directory on the server where the PATROL Agent runs:
- SEN_BO_discovery.lib
- Restart the PATROL Agent for the patch to take effect.
- Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
