Connectors for monitoring Quantum Scalar i40, i80 and i500 or other manufacturer's equipment based on these models.

Should you install this patch?

This patch should be installed if you are using the Quantum Tape Library Connector

What does it fix?

This patch activates parameters based on whether a valid status can be collected.
It also adds more descriptive parameter names (Overall Cooling Status, instead of Fan Status).

How to install the patch?

Copy the following files to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/MS_HW_hdf directory on the managed server:

  • MS_HW_QuantumTapeLibrary.hdf
Re-initialize Hardware Sentry for the patch to take effect. Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
