Install this patch if you use the Remote Command Execution or Log File Analysis feature on Windows-based managed elements.
What does it fix?
This issue affects the following two application classes:
- Studio - Remote Command Execution and Analysis
The product fails to execute the specified command on a remote Windows system. The return output parameter of the Remote Command Execution instance displays "Failed to execute the command"
- Studio - LOG File Monitoring and Analysis
The product fails to access the specified Log File on a remote Windows system. The return output parameter of the Log File instance displays "File does not exist"
How to install the patch?
Unzip the BPM-Express-MonitoringStudio-2.5.16.par.zip file. Login to Portal as superadmin and upload the resulting .par file.
"BMC Performance Manager Express Monitoring Studio by Sentry Software 2.5.16" appears in the Performance Manager list. Select the corresponding checkbox and click [Publish].
Monitoring Studio Express is then automatically upgraded on all the monitored elements. This process takes a few minutes.
When the migration process is completed, the 2.5.16 version is marked as "Published".
