Should you install this patch?

Install this patch if you are monitoring NetApp Filers.

What does it fix?

Excludes fans and power supplies shelves that have no associated power supply or fan module. This prevents the KM from discovering invalid fans and power supplies, e.g. an "embedded access" fan / power supply. These invalid instances also tend to go missing and generate alerts. Power Supply Status collection fixed.

How to install the patch?

To prevent missing devices, it is best to stop the RSM before applying this patch. Copy the following file to %RSM_HOME%\RSMxx\SEN_HW\hdf_27xx\ on the RSM:

  • MS_HW_NetApp.hdf
Restart the RSM.
