Connectors for Sun Network

Should you install this patch?

Apply this patch if you are using the CLI based Sun Solaris Network Connector to monitor your Solaris x86 server and are not getting link status, speed and duplex mode.

What does it fix?

Enables the collection of link status, speed and duplex mode from dladm if not available from kstat or ndd.

How to install the patch?

Copy the following files to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/MS_HW_hdf directory on the managed server:

  • MS_HW_SunNetwork.hdf
Re-initialize Hardware Sentry for the patch to take effect. Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
