Should you install this patch?

Apply this patch if you experience false alerts ("Missing Device") and/or duplicate enclosure instances on Sun Solaris servers (sun4u)

What does it fix?

Sun Solaris picld daemon randomly fails to return the value of environmental sensors. The solution now properly handles such situations and no longer creates duplicate enclosure icons and false alarms ("Missing Device").

How to install the patch?

Copy the following file to %RSM_HOME%\RSMxx\SEN_HW\hdf_27xx\ on each RSM:
