Connector for Windows - DiskPart

Should you install this patch?

Apply this patch if you want to monitor the status of logical volumes on Windows systems, including software mirrors and RAIDs.

What does it fix?

This new connector leverages the DISKPART.EXE command line utility on Windows systems to report the status of logical volumes. Previously, failures on disk mirrors and RAIDs were not reported.

How to install the patch?

  1. Copy the following file to the %PATROL_HOME%\lib\MS_HW_hdf directory on the managed server:
    • MS_HW_DiskPart.hdf
  2. Re-initialize Hardware Sentry for the patch to take effect.
  3. Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
