Connector for servers running Linux and using Linux's inbuilt multipathing technology

Should you install this patch?

Install this patch if you are running a recent version of Linux (RHEL6, SLES 11 SP2, etc.) and need to monitor the status of a multipathing setup (typically a server with one or several LUNs mounted through an HBA).

What does it fix?

Adds support for the new output format used by the latest multipath utility.

How to install the patch?

  1. Copy the following file to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/MS_HW_hdf directory on the server where the PATROL Agent runs:
    • MS_HW_LinuxMultipath.hdf
  2. Re-initialize Hardware Sentry for the patch to take effect.
  3. Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
