Should you install this patch?

Install this patch if you have more than two fan modules or require accurate power consumption.

What does it fix?

  • Adds a status parameter for Fan Modules.
  • Collects an accurate Power Consumption.
  • Adds monitoring of 3rd and 4th Fan Modules in chassis with 4 Fan modules.
  • Enables monitoring of second temperature sensor for BladeCenter HT chassis.

How to install the patch?

  1. Copy the following file to %RSM_HOME%\RSMxx\SEN_HW\hdf_27xx/ on each RSM:
    • MS_HW_IBMBlade.hdf
  2. No further actions are required. The new component monitoring will be added at the next discovery.
