Should you install this patch?

Apply this patch if you have logical network cards in the IBM AIX server you're monitoring.

What does it fix?

Adds the monitoring of logical network cards (and their associated physical cards).

How to install the patch?

  1. Copy the following file to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/MS_HW_hdf directory on the server running the PATROL Agent:
    • MS_HW_IBMAIX.hdf
  2. Re-initialize Hardware Sentry for the patch to take effect. Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
