Should you install this patch?

All customers using version 1.8.02 of Hardware Sentry should install this patch since the problem may affect any Hardware Sentry instance. Please note that the more objects monitored, the more likely the problem is to occur.

What does it fix?

Failing connectors could create a deadlock during a discovery which prevented the KM from collecting data any further.

How to install the patch?

  1. Copy the following file to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/psl or %PATROL_HOME%\lib\psl directory on the server where the PATROL Agent runs:
    • MS_HW_generic.lib
  2. Restart the PATROL Agent for the patch to take effect.
  3. Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
