Should you install this patch?

Install this patch if you are seeing multiple instances of the same LSI RAID Controller.

What does it fix?

The following RAID Controller connectors are disabled if the SMI-S Compliant RAID Controller Linux/Windows connector is activated:

  • MS_HW_LSIMegaRaidSAS5.hdf
  • MS_HW_LSIMegaRaidSAS.hdf
  • MS_HW_LSIMegaCliWindows.hdf
  • MS_HW_LSIUtilWindows.hdf
  • MS_HW_LSIUtilUNIX.hdf

How to install the patch?

  1. Copy the following files to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/MS_HW_hdf directory on the server where the PATROL Agent runs:
    • MS_HW_Director52ServeRAIDLinux.hdf
    • MS_HW_Director52ServeRAIDNT.hdf
  2. Re-initialize Hardware Sentry for the patch to take effect.
  3. Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
