Connector for Fujitsu Eternus DX Disk Arrays.

Should you install this patch?

Install this patch if you wish to monitor a Fujitsu Eternus DX Storage System. This connector provides Fujitsu Eternus specific monitoring instead of the generic monitoring provided by the SMI-S Disk Array Connector.

What does it fix?

The connector provides more detailed information about your Fujitsu Eternus systems and uses significantly less resources.

How to install the patch?

  1. Copy the following file to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/MS_HW_hdf directory on the server where the PATROL Agent runs:
    • MS_HW_FujitsuEternus.hdf
  2. Re-initialize Hardware Sentry for the patch to take effect. Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.

Note: Successful activation of this connector will automatically disable the Generic SMI-S based connector.
