Should you install this patch?

Install this patch if you want to monitor your EMC CLARiiON / VNX system using Navisphere CLI instead of an SMI-S Provider.

What does it fix?

Adds monitoring of EMC CLARiiON / VNX systems via Navisphere CLI.

How to install the patch?

Important: EMC's Navisphere CLI utility (NaviSECCli) must be installed on the server where the PATROL Agent runs and listed in the patrol user's path.

  1. Copy the following file to the %PATROL_HOME%\lib\MS_HW_hdf or $PATROL_HOME/lib/MS_HW_hdf directory on the server where the PATROL Agent runs:
    • MS_HW_EMCNavisphereCLI.hdf
  2. Re-initialize Hardware Sentry for the patch to take effect.
  3. Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
