P1336: WBEM Query Failures Due to Memory LeaksJuly 6, 2012
Library files for the Hardware Sentry Collection Hub
Should you install this patch?
Apply this patch if you are remotely monitoring servers and devices using WBEM (for instance ESX hosts).
Note: This patch is particularly important for PATROL Agents configured to monitor a large number of systems remotely (20+).
What does it fix?
Failed or timed out WBEM queries cause a memory leak in the PATROL Agent which will eventually stop all new WBEM queries from being executed (The KM will stop collecting metrics).
How to install the patch?
- Copy the following file to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/psl or %PATROL_HOME%\lib\psl directory on the server where the PATROL Agent is running:
- Restart the PATROL Agent for the patch to take effect.
- Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
Warning: The monitoring stops working immediately after the PSL library has been installed and until the PATROL Agent has been restarted
