Should you install this patch?

Install this patch if one or more HBAs are not configured in your IBM AIX server.

What does it fix?

The discovery would timeout when gathering information about the un-configured HBAs in IBM AIX systems. As a result, no HBA were discovered at all.

How to install the patch?

Copy the following file to %RSM_HOME%\RSMxx\SEN_HW\hdf_27xx\ on each RSM:

  • MS_HW_IBMAIXHBA.hdf
No further actions are required. The new component monitoring will be added at the next discovery.
