Connector for IBM DS Storage 3000, 4000 and 5000 Systems (smcli)

Should you install this patch?

Install this patch if logical disk sizes are not being calculated correctly or you are missing environment components.

What does it fix?

Adds support for DS4000 series systems. The SMcli commands have been updated to get an accurate calculation of logical disk size and a proper components discovery.

How to install the patch?

  1. Copy the following file to the $PATROL_HOME/lib/MS_HW_hdf directory on the server where the PATROL Agent runs:
    • MS_HW_smcli.hdf
  2. Re-initialize Hardware Sentry for the patch to take effect. Nothing needs to be installed on Console systems.
